2017 Convention

2017’s SfHP program theme was Broadening the Impact and Visibility of Behavioral Sciences in Healthcare and Health Policy. Our past SfHP President, Dawn K. Wilson, PhD, invited key players in the effort to further disseminate evidence-based behavioral interventions to share their experiences with our members.

See selected highlights from the 2017 convention here.

2016 Convention

The 2016 annual meeting was held in Denver, CO, from August 4–7 (see the following page for the location and dates of future conventions). The Society provided many excellent networking opportunities at the Convention for individuals with health psychology interests at all career stages—students, early career professionals, seasoned members, and fellows.

We welcome submissions of symposia and posters in all areas of health psychology. (Please note that we do not accept individual paper proposals.) The Society also gives awards for the best student and early career professional posters, and the poster sessions feature several members of the Society who will serve as hosts to 4–5 posters and who will add to the lively discussions among participants. The submission deadline for symposia/posters is typically December 1, and all submissions are sent out for anonymous review.
