To promote engagement and leadership among SfHP student members, the SfHP Student Advisory Council is proud to announce a new travel award for emerging student leaders interested in attending the annual APA Convention: The SfHP Emerging Student Leader Travel Award for the APA Convention in Chicago, IL from August 8th – 11th, 2019! The SfHP Emerging Student Leader Travel Award consists of $1,825 in funding for a student to attend the APA Convention. Award funds are to be utilized for airfare, hotel, food, and other expenses related to travel. One (1) SfHP Emerging Student Leader Travel Award will be awarded to a student member for the 2019 APA Convention.
Note: Awardee will need to submit a W9 to SfHP prior to receiving the award funds, and the award is subject to income taxation.

Students promoting the values and goals of SfHP through clinical work, research productivity, or volunteer positions in health psychology will be competitive for the SfHP Emerging Student Leader Travel Award. Students can be in any year of their doctoral program, including those on internship. Preference will be given to students without financial support from other sources, those from underrepresented backgrounds, and those who have not previously attended the APA Convention. Current SfHP Student Advisory Council members are not eligible for this award.
