Our own Travis Lovejoy PhD, MPH at Portland, Oregon’s VA, was awarded a 5-year VA Career Development Award to study chronic pain management in veterans with co-occurring substance use disorders! As part of the award, Dr. Lovejoy will develop expertise in mixed methodologies as they apply to clinical trials and implementation science.

Our own Sarah Pressman PhD, an Assistant Professor at University of California, Irvine, just received the Div 38 Outstanding Contributions to Health Psychology Award (Junior) for her research in the interplay between positive emotions, social relationships and health, with a focus on the physiological processes that underlie these associations! Our own Peggy Zoccola, PhD, Assistant Professor at Ohio University, had a manuscript recently accepted in Health Psychology! Differential Effects of Poststressor Rumination and Distraction on Cortisol and C-Reactive Protein appeared online January 27, and will appear in print in the coming months.
