This one-year full-time fellowship in Behavioral Medicine/Clinical Health Psychology has a central focus on Consultation-Liaison Psychology and outpatient presurgical evaluations. Fellows will be key members of an interdisciplinary psychiatry service, providing consultation across medical units and outpatient mental health services. Key responsibilities include health psychology assessments, consultations, and wellness interventions. The fellowship offers advanced clinical experience within psychiatric and medical settings, teaching opportunities, program development and participation in didactics. While research is required, it is not central to the fellowship. Supervision toward independent licensure in North Carolina is provided, with candidates needing a provisional license upon acceptance.
