ECU Health Physicians and The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking child and adolescent psychologist to join their growing program. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) from an accredited program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an APA accredited program and have completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology or clinical child and adolescent psychology. Candidates with interest in developmental delay disorders, hematology/oncology, or trauma are preferred. New graduates will be considered.
ECU Health and Acadia Healthcare have announced plans to build a state-of the-art, 144-bed behavioral health facility that will open in late summer of 2025. The new facility will include 24 inpatient beds dedicated to the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

- Established Behavioral Health Division includes: 6 clinical psychologist (4 adult & 2 pediatric); 6 neuropsychologist; 3 child and adolescent LCSW’s; 5 adult LCSW’s; and 1 addiction LCSW
- Inpatient and outpatient clinical care
- Schedule includes 5 days per week, 8a – 5p, with no call
- Responsibilities will include direct patient care, collaboration with child and adolescent therapy team, evidence-based psychosocial programming, and training to ensure appropriate intervention for patients
- Teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, residents, PhD students and other health professionals
- Assessment, intervention, and consultation in pediatric subspecialties, primary care clinics and NICU follow up clinic
- Provide diagnostic testing as clinically indicated including testing for ADHD, mood disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
- Provide leadership and oversight for group-based interventions and individual-based psychotherapy using evidence-based techniques
