Candidates would provide comprehensive evaluations and individual and group-based interventions for patients with a variety of hepatological conditions, including fatty liver disease, chronic liver conditions, and alcohol related liver disease. Our department offers a rich multidisciplinary collaborative environment for research and education. Educational opportunities include the teaching of students, trainees, and post-doctoral fellows in health psychology and other disciplines in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine (CCLCM; a branch of Case Western Reserve University). The successful applicant will be appointed to the CCLCM at a level commensurate with experience.
Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program, completed predoctoral internship, and have completed a postdoctoral fellowship with experience in health psychology. Eligibility for licensure in Ohio is essential. Strong candidates will possess expertise in the provision of evidence-based treatments (such as CBT, MI, ACT, hypnosis, and biofeedback) for health-related depression, anxiety, and pain, as well as experience working with patients diagnosed with a chronic medical condition. Strong candidates should also have interest in research, supervising trainees in health psychology, and program development and implementation.
