The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Palliative Medicine and the Arthur G. James Comprehensive CancerCenter are accepting applications for a Psychosocial Oncology Postdoctoral Fellow. The Postdoctoral researcher will implement clinical interventions with people with cancer under the supervision of Dr. Sharla Wells-Di Gregorio.
The primary study involves implementation of a combined mHealth-telehealth symptom cluster (sleep, worry-anxiety, fatigue, depression) intervention for people with advanced cancer (1R01CA281885-04A1). This study will also examine immune and hormonal biomarkers that affect symptom clustering. The second study involves a brief telehealth intervention with people with pancreatic cancer.
Fellow Responsibilities Include:
- Work with Dr. Wells-Di Gregorio and oncology teams on manuscripts, grants, and presentations
- Manage and analyze data
- Teach and supervise research staff
- Postdocs can accrue additional clinical hours toward licensure if desired.
Eligibility:
PhD in clinical psychology with training or experience in health psychology
Required/Desired Skills:·
- Research methods/design
- Basic statistical analyses
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy knowledge or experience
- Acceptance and commitment therapy knowledge or experience
- Research publication
- Health equity knowledge will be helpful, especially work with rural populations
- Psychoneuroimmunology knowledge helpful but not required
