The Division of General Internal Medicine and Bioethics at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine (Sacramento, CA) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the NIDDK-funded Empowering Mentees to Become Exemplary Researchers (EMBER) program.

Led by Susan D. Brown, PhD, FSBM, EMBER aims to advance the research careers of diverse and underrepresented scholars via mentorship in health behaviors for diabetes and cardiovascular disease prevention, health equity, maternal health, and implementation science.

Research and career development opportunities for EMBER Fellows include:
– Developing scientific manuscripts & presentations
– Conducting quantitative/qualitative analyses & literature reviews
– Access to seminars & workshops
– Support to prepare funding applications (e.g., career development & pilot proposals)
– Funds for academic travel and career development training

Duration: One year, with potential for renewal (pending availability of funding)
Start date: August 1, 2024 (negotiable)
Location: Hybrid
Salary range: $64,480-$77,327, aligned with NIH and UC Davis postdoctoral guidelines
