The University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank.  The appointee will provide assessments and evidence-based GI-focused interventions for adult patients in GI, interact with team members to inform shared treatment plans, and deliver consultative services to GI providers. The appointee will support the advancement and effectiveness of the adult psychogastroenterology program. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.  We especially welcome applicants with training and experience in integrated behavioral health (with an emphasis in gastroenterology) evidence-based psychological treatment for medical and psychiatric conditions, and/or competency in cognitive-behavior therapy.  Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or related field, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, and 3) have completed an internship at an APA accredited site.  Assessment of applications will consider experience in health psychology and psychogastroenterology.
