Call for Nominations:  SfHP Diversity and Inclusivity Officer

  • The Society for Health Psychology (SfHP; APA Division 38) is currently accepting nominations for a Diversity and Inclusivity Officer, who will serve with the Executive Committee.
  • The appointed Diversity and Inclusivity Officer will be charged with overseeing broad diversity and inclusivity efforts on behalf of SfHP, such as increasing member diversity in all domains (including but not limited to age, socioeconomic background, race/ethnicity, culture, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, language, ability status, and the intersection of multiple underserved identities) and ensuring an inclusive environment consistent with the values of SfHP.
  • The position’s interim term will be for up to three years, and will exist until such time as an elected position is established.  Candidates must be members of the Society and of APA.  The Society encourages participation by members of underrepresented groups and would welcome such nominees.  Self-nominations are also encouraged.

  • Nominations should include a statement of two pages or less, describing  the candidate’s vision for this position, prior experience or interests, and suggested initiatives.  A current CV is also required.  Submit all materials electronically to:  apadiv38@verizon.net.
  • The deadline for receipt of nominations is Monday, March 15, 2020.
