Welcome to the first ever SfHP Diversity and Inclusion Officer

The Society for Health Psychology would like to welcome our first ever Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Tanecia Blue, PhD, ABPP

Dr. Blue is a board-certified health psychologist and serves as the Chief of the Behavioral Medicine Service at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was notably involved in diversity work within her state psychological association.

Dr. Blue will be overseeing broad diversity and inclusion efforts on behalf of SfHP, such as increasing member diversity in all domains (including but not limited to age, socioeconomic background, race/ethnicity, culture, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, language, ability status, and the intersection of multiple underserved identities) and ensuring an inclusive environment consistent with the values of the Society. She will also be our liaison to the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Collaborative, a network of psychologists across all Divisions of APA, who are committed to this work.

Welcome, Dr. Blue, to this important leadership role for the Society!
