Diversity Council
Council Focus
The Diversity Council informs and advises the Society membership in matters of policy, research, and/or practice involving diverse and marginalized populations, including those defined by gender and sexual identity, ability, geographic location, income, and education in addition to race and ethnicity.
The mission of the Diversity Council is to uphold the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in SfHP and promote the health of all individuals, including those who are minoritized based on race, ethnicity, gender/sexual identity, physical ability, geographic location, income, and education.
Diversity Council members serve dual roles as liaison representatives in other SfHP councils and committees in order to facilitate cross-cutting representation in the SfHP.
