We are excited to be recruiting for a Consultation Liaison Psychologist at Christiana Care in our Wilmington, Delaware Hospital. The Psychologist will join a CL Psychology Team and other psychologists across Christiana Care. The position will provide psychology consultation liaison services to patients admitted to medical and surgical units, collaborate with medical teams to address the psychological aspects of patients’ medical conditions, and facilitate integration of mental health care into overall patient treatment plans. There are also opportunities to be involved in training and supervision through our APA-accredited psychology internship program, as well as psychiatry residents and other student learners on the service.

Qualified candidates much have a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited institution and be licensed or license-eligible in to practice psychology in Delaware. Clinical experience with a medical population in a hospital setting is preferred.

Psychologists, Pre-Doctoral Psychology Interns, and Psychology Externs are embedded and integrated into inpatient units and outpatient care sites.  They serve as consultants to the multidisciplinary care teams, provide education and training to patients, families, and staff, conduct assessment, provide short-term treatment, and make referrals for additional services when necessary.
