Welcome back to The Health Psychologist e-zine! It is bittersweet to share that my time as the editor for the e-zine has come to an end. I have experienced so much joy through being able to meet so many wonderful authors and read such thoughtful and scholarly articles by health psychologists over the past three years. For my last issue, there are remarkably informative articles to showcase.
Our current president, Dr. Stephanie Fitzpatrick, is also ending her term as president and has spearheaded multiple initiatives to expand our SfHP community. In her article, she shares the progress she has helped facilitate through her time as our leader.
Drs. Murray and Ghose provide an overview of the interconnection between menopause and sleep. They destigmatize menopause and focus on bringing relief to those individuals who are struggling with sleep disruption during this phase of life.
Sonia Agarwal and colleagues share their team’s recent analyses on long COVID and the impact on mental health factors. The work of this team shows how cognitive symptoms of long COVID correlate with positive and negative psychological factors.
Thank you to our talented authors and editorial team for all the hard work and support over the past three years! I am really grateful for my time with the division. If you have questions or an idea for an article (membership is not required to contribute), please reach out at thehealthpsychologist@gmail.com.
Please note articles are only accessible through the members’ only portal.
