Participants will be able to identify opportunities for flourishing in their work, the components, and facilitators of flourishing, how it is distinct from burnout, and the individual and organizational factors needed to implement collective change within their professional environments.
Educational Objectives:
1. Upon completion, participants will describe the importance of flourishing, especially the
renaissance due to COVID, and the difference between making meaning in their work versus
burnout avoidance via self-care.
2. Participants will be able to describe the multi-dimensional nature of flourishing as it
pertains to individual and organizational roles and values, through academic medicine
research and personal stories.
3. Participants will learn (A) core principles of flourishing and (B) practical techniques for
identifying resources and barriers to meaning making.
4. Upon completion, participants will understand the impacts of flourishing as it applies to
stages of readiness, generational divide, and individual versus organizational responsibility.
